Synopsis

Delhi, a melting pot, has a unique culture, a glorious history and a very rich heritage ,be it the ruins of Mehrauli, or the high rise towers of Gurgaon Cyber City. One can experience a plethora of things here from the delicious street food of Bengali sweet market to the elegant boutiques of Hauz Khas, from the elaborate Mughal durbars to their Anglo-Gothic counterparts at Lutyens. Delhi is a fascinating story, discovered and lost, time and again. Each time you step out to explore a little bit more about this city, you have more questions than answers. Thats the beauty of this city. Many artists, poets, painters, travelers, writers, photographers have made Delhi their muse. Photography is so much more than just seeing and clicking. It is also about understanding the light, identifying the moment, capturing the very essence of the subject and perceiving things in a better way. That is precisely what this photo-walk aims to do - understand the various aspects of image creation so that one can become a master of photography.

One will explore the less talked about parts of Delhi which are beautiful but havent been explored. The mini Kolkata of Delhi C.R. Park (Chitranjan Park) is a neighborhood situated in South Delhi which was established in the early 1960s as a part of EPDP (East Pakistan Displaced Persons) colony by the government. Now, it is home to a huge Bengali community which remains true to its roots despite the cosmopolitan nature of the city. C. R. Park is Delhis Bong connection. The Kolkata Biryani house and Kalibari temple are an imperative part of this entrancing neighbourhood. C.R. Park is a home away from home for most Bengalis. As the Durga Puja nears, the sculptures, artisans and painters get ready for making idols. They not only shape the Durga idols, but also carve out the finest details. The entire act of making the Durga idols is known as Chokkudaan and is quite fascinating to watch. This walk is hosted by a professional photographer with over three years of experience in photography across various genres. Its all about exploring a place, seeing it in a different light and capturing it in your lens. Its understanding and exploring a place in all its myriad ways!
