The Foodies Celebration of Independence Day

If you are a foodie, Bharat Parv (1st edition), the Indian Government’s flagship food and cultural event will be the place for you to celebrate and enjoy the unique tastes of India.

Foodie 2“State-centric food stalls will be set up to give people an opportunity to experience cuisine from different parts of the country. Artistes from all over India have been invited to perform folk dance forms such as Birha Gayan, Badhai, Ghoomar, Phag dance and Bhaangda,” said an official from the Culture Ministry, which has collaborated with Delhi Tourism and NDMC for the event. Tempting, isn’t it? To add on to this, the ‘Swaraj Parv’, announced by the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, is a cultural program planned in Connaught place from August 14th to 16th 2015. This event will include the ‘Hindi Kavi Sammelan’, ‘Urdu Mushaira’, performances by 12 Indian bands and artists, qawwali shows and musical dramas.
